After kicking up dust on Def Jux with his well received 12" Make News along indie mainstays El-P and Aesop Rock and going one on with partner in rhyme Vast Aire (Cannibal Ox) on Mighty Joseph's "Empire State" album Karniege is now ready to let the world see he can hold it down on his own. Can I Kick It Volume 2 is the 2nd installment of The Can I Kick It mixtape series which will be the leading road to the release of Karniege's debut album.
That being said, Can I Kick It Volume Two is the real prelude to his first real solo effort. While the free internet release contains a mix of b-sides, new material and mixtape joints, the digital retail release contains all original tracks including instrumentals and bonus tracks that cannot be found on the free internet release. This mixtape contains contributions from Camu Tao, Da Beatminerz, Vast Aire, Poison Pen, J-Zone, Lostsun & more.
