Euphrates

Euphrates from Montreal, Canada consists of the Mc Narcy, aka The Narcicyst, and two producers: Noffy and Habilis Fannan aka The Sandhill Productions team, who are brothers. All three artists are of Iraqi origin who grew up in Dubai where they first met and became childhood friends. They moved to Canada in the late 80's and began making music together in the late 90's.
Their first album "A Bend In The River" was released in 2003 and is heavily influenced by the war in Iraq, the Arab world and tries to bridge the gap between the so-called civilized western world and the east. Sandhill's productions are rich and oriental, yet they maintain the base of good ol' hip hop and Narcy's harsh, yet poetic rhymes make this impressive (both lyrically and musically) album a must have for your collection.
Their last album called "Stereotypes Incorporated" was released in 2004 and is as good as its predecessor with productions closer to what you would call modern hip hop and the same style of lyrics and mc'ing by Narcy. Later the same year Noly Fannan died and this was the end of The Euphrates as a trio.
Narcicyst continued a solo career releasing 2 albums ('06 and '07) with Habilis Fannan on productions as part of the N.O.M.A.D.S
To make a long story short, here are the two of the best hip hop albums i've ever heard and i hope you will like 'em too:
