Massive Attack have stepped in to remix the upcoming single from Stateside rapper Nas.
Massive Attack's importance is matched only by the brevity of their discography. Each release needs to be cherished, with the legendary Bristol group only rarely stirring into life.
Last night on Radio 1 Annie Mac decided to air an exclusive new remix. Massive Attack were invited to tackle Nas' upcoming single 'The Don' and responded with something typically thoughtful.
Stripping the track right down, Massive Attack add layers of unsettling bass textures. Sounding like Nas rapping underwater, this re-working of 'The Don' finds Robert Del Naja working with DFA mainman Tim Goldsworthy.

all respect due to Massive Attack but this remix doesn't really give any added value to the original, I think.
