Official CD straight from Dose One's vault of recent live work from the mighty Them(selves). In the live context the duo of Dose One and Jel is expanded by musician Dax Pierson. Thirty five minutes straight from the mixing board from gigs in such places as Munich, Milan and Paris. Also in full is their Peel Session from earlier this year plus maybe an exclusive cut or two. Themselves live is a whole new ball game - madly additive and craaazy outdope.

KRS-ONE & Buckshot Announce Collaborations For Upcoming New Album

In late 2007, KRS-One and Buckshot both announced that the veteran emcees from The Bronx and Brooklyn respectively would be linking for a collaborative, joint-venture LP. They have opened their studio doors to a whole host of artists, Mary J Blige recorded for the project over a reportedly “tantalizing” Black Milk beat. The track is reportedly titled “On The Grind,” featuring Blige on the chorus, bridge and the song’s opening and closing. Over a decade ago, the Queen of Hip Hop/R&B worked with the label for her famed “I Love You” remix with Smif N’ Wessun.

Other confirmed guests to date are K’naan, as well as label-mates Naledge, Heltah Skeltah and the aforementioned Smif N Wessun. Production duties are already in the works for Havoc, 9th Wonder, Marco Polo, Khrysis, Illmind and MoSS. Other unconfirmed artists include 50 Cent, Immortal Technique and Havoc, the album is presently planned for August release via Duck Down Records.

Joining the lineage of other Lengendary Long Island hip hop
pioneers such as Rakim, EPMD, De La Soul, and Public Enemy.
Lyricists I.N.F. and Aspect are collectively known as The Day
Laborers. A Duo who have spent years paying dues to build a
reputation the old fashion way. Defining themselves on stage
performing at venues all over New York City. Most notably a series
of highly successful shows at the legendary CBGB's at a time when
the venue had not opened it doors to hip hop for many years until
The Day Laborers came on the scene.

Following momentum from shows. They released the Red Sky EP, then
entered the studio intent on crafting a debut album, "The Learning
Process", that encompasses the best of what underground boom bap
and raw rap has to offer with a refreshing style accessible to
mainstream appeal. Their agile flow displays a smooth delivery
interweaving intricate and articulate rhyme schemes about
introspective topics that all hard working common people can
relate to.

Whether your a blue collar worker or put on a suit and tie this
music is for you, the youth culture, and young adults coming of
age. These musicians profess "We've taken everything that was
classic to us and updated that sound into songs that currently
sound relevant, but can still be considered just as relevant years
from now." Preparing for the release of their first full album
"The Learning Process." The Day Laborers are set to make their
mark with music in a major way.

Epik High reached the peak of their career in 2007 with #1 hits like Fan and Love, Love, sweeping the 2007 Km Music Festival by taking home the Best Album and Best Hip Hop Album of the Year awards. Behind the success of Epik High stands multi-talented singer-songwriter Tablo. He pairs up with Pe2ny, an established producer in his own rights, to form the project team Eternal Morning and rolls out an unusual album titled Eternal Morning - Soundtrack To A Lost Film.
Eternal Morning - Soundtrack To A Lost Film is the first album of its kind. Each of the songs in the album is conceived around an imaginary film and contains raw, unfamiliar sounds marked by irregular rhythm and jarring noise. Principal track White features a harmony of piano and strings with no other instrumental additives. The reason behind the simplicity stems from the artists' visionary desire that listeners draw out the emotions not merely from the lyrics, but from the music itself. Soundtrack To A Lost Film professes to be a rare kind of soundtrack, hoping to deliver creative inspirations to its listeners.

Soul Assassins Dropping New Album

Soul Assassins dropping new album Intermission in June through Gold Dust

Lead by multi-platinum producer DJ Muggs, California's Soul Assassins crew is a movement. With a hand in street apparel, art & graphic design, video production, radio, custom car detailing, and of course, banging ass music, it's no exaggeration to say that these guys have the streets on lock.

With lots brewing on all sides of the clique, Muggs has assembled a smoking hot lineup of crew members and affiliates to showcase the musical wing of the Soul Assassins crew, all over his signature hazy beats that have been behind hits for Cypress Hill, Ice Cube, House of Pain, & more.

Though the crew reps the West Coast to the heart, the album features top contributions from all over the hip-hop landscape. The RZA, La Coka Nostra, Prodigy, M1 of Dead Prez and Alchemest deliver the gritty East Coast boom-bap, Bun-B of UGK delivers the flow that put Port Arthur, Texas on the map, and of course B-Real of Cypress Hill, Xzibit, Evidence, Self Scientific, & Sick Jacken and more hold it down for the West. The album also features bubbling talent including Fashawn, PCP, and Young De, and even the return of Mugg's dark soul / trip-hop project Dust.

With Soul Assassins Radio running on stations across the country, a new line in their successful clothing company dropping this spring, and a 250-page retrospective on the crew in the works, it's safe to say that the Soul Assassins are taking over this year.
