"During a time when the integrity of music is constantly in question, one band is determined to re-establish what was once the staple in artistic freedom. The world is fragile and becoming more volatile with each moment. With this reality on the minds and in the hearts of many of us, the alternative message that Advanced Placement provides is essential in today's music industry." More info on MySpace
Mostly very conscious rhyming, but sometimes very simple beats. On the other hand, in the video he takes himself too serious therefore his acting is very funny.
Ha listen bro I don't even like lil wayne but he is still better than this. "more mature hip hop audience"? if by that you mean nerds who don't have any idea what good hip hop is, then I guess so. oh, and dude in the video is corny! this music is corny!
@Anonymous:...like I said, a more mature hip-hop audience. Did you even listen to the whole album? The production is the shit! This is independent hip-hop, not commercial crap. Tell me what you think is good hip-hop and then I'll know where you are coming from and how old you are.
Dude spare me the commercial vs. indy crap. I am 32 years old and I have been into hip hop since I was a kid. You sound like the typical newbie to hip hop. I listened to the entire album and it sucks. Too many vocal samples and the m.c sounds like he is trying too hard. Not to mention the beats are boring and have no energy. This is what gives white rappers a bad name.
I am 8 years older than you anonymous. I know more about hip-hop than you ever will since I was alive when it was created. I guess that makes you the newbie...doesn't it now?
That's funny. You're 40 posting up hip hop albums on a blog that's pretty pathetic. You know more about hip hop than me? I really doubt it considering what you like and considering I've been a DJ here in New York since I was a teenager, what have you done besides post corny albums on a blog? I bet you like Sage Francis and Sole too don't you?
Anonymous - This will be my last comment to you and then I am done wasting my time...if you don't respect the old school then you don't respect hip-hop, if you don't respect this blog then you've got some growing up to do, and lastly when you turn 40 are you just going to give up on the music that you love?

@Anonymous: Sorry dude, this is for a more mature hip-hop audience...not Lil' Wayne fans.
