Fucky YOU, man! It's a biggest this kind of sport happening in Poland/Ukraine and we, Polish, did it! We have got roads, hotels, stadiums, etc. We are proud of it!

I have seen many World Cups and Euro Cups too but I have never been so uninterested in this tournament in my life like this year. I saw the first match yesterday (England-France) as I was focusing much more on Roland Garros and it was pretty much worth it.
Snipes is right in the sense that football is poisoned by money. weekly salaries of EUR 200,000?? WTF? and at the same time Real Madrid and Barcelona are accumulating a debt of EUR 1 billion. What is it for? I don't see the point. one could argue why I watch tennis: it is the rich man's sport too. well, Nadal has to WIN an entire tournament to get 1 million dollar, while Hazard, Rooney, Ronaldo play five matches in a season and they get the same amount regardless of the result. this is a major difference. money did not kill tennis but it killed football.
infrastructure. I recommend you to watch BBC's documentary on the accomodation situation in Ukraine: 400 dollars a night for the top of a bunk bed. that's what I call hotel investments...
playing in a national team doesn't convey anymore the same as it did even 10-15 years ago. for the most of the players there is only one thing that matters and it's their weekly wages. and I must say that I can understand them as they are mercenaries, it is their profession and the role of sovreign countries is decreasing bit by bit so winning a tournament of national teams has not too much of a value in its original meaning.
I don't say "fuck Euro 2012" as I think it's part of football and I'm sure we'll see great and amusing moments which we can be proud of. but I must agree with Sniper: this is much much more about the money than about anything else. see? you Polish guys got roads, rails and new stadiums. this is putting money from one pocket to the other. for three times 90 minutes in a city? good luck for filling up the new stadiums after the EURO2012 is over, by the way! Portugal's still suffering from it...
and last but not least: SOCCER! Could you please erase this word from your vocabulary once and for all? there is only one game called football and it is the game we are discussing here. the other game that is called football in the US is nothing but a commercial show with sport breaks.
and yes: this isn't a hiphop site. Sniper, Fats, RaZor and all of us love hiphop and we post stuff here related to it but as you might have already noticed we post other genres of music and other things as well which express our interests and if you don't like the post you'll always have a room to comment on it and open a discussion.
