very very deep, politically-socially motivated lyrics. this is not surprising from dead prez. but the beats are in their vast majority built on synthesizer (wrong!) and sometimes even the auto-tune is there. this is something I'll never understand but anyway. the tracks are often separated with made up "news blocks", that's a smart idea. I hope many people will listen to this record not because it's so good musically but because dead prez have again managed to highlight the most crutial problems we all are facing nowadays. as it is rightly said in the bonus track: "you can't free a slave unless he knows he is in bondage". peace
First off, Hello again Miska, I totally agree with you. Second off, I feel that this album is quite a brand new experience from Dead Prez and it just blew my expectations away, and I wasn't even looking forward to a Dead Prez album. But I read Miska's post and grabbed it anyways because he usually knows his shit. Wow, made me remember how dope the Other Dead Prez albums were.
