J-Live's new mixtape features a mixture of this year's new hip hop from the commercial, major label and trendy to the underground, independent and avant garde. "I'm trying to bridge the gap between what sometimes feels like two separate worlds", says J-Live. "So on HOTvsDOPE, some of the songs are hot right now, some are just dope. But even the hot songs are dope too."
