Sid Roams is the duo of producers Joey Chavez and Bravo, who should be familiar if you've followed mid-90's ABB releases or Prodigy (Mobb Deep) joints, the Queensbridge family, Phil the Agony, Strong Arm Steady, & Planet Asia. But their roots go back to Dilated Peoples, their music-family and the springboard for both of their careers. On Evidence's The Weatherman, they contributed the lead single "Mr. Slow Flow" (among others), and "Solitary Confinement" for his Layover EP. The sounds they make are gully and urban, with hints of 80s electro and eerie, Scarface-era Giorgio Moroder synth lines. As Bravo puts it, "We always both appreciated dark records and DIY horror cinema." Zombie Musik is the second installment in their instrumental series. It's a collection of original B-movie, creepshow beats and favorite backdrops from Prodigy's HNIC2 & Product of the 80's, Big Twins' The Project Kid, & Evidence's Layover EP. But this project plays like an album unto itself, all deftly chained together with rare, seamless, cult-flick segues. It's a sonic treat for beat-heads and rappers alike.

Too much of these zombies. There are some dope track on it, but I expected more from Joey Chavez and Bravo...
